Why not leave in the 5th in that Am7 and make life easier? I find it sounds nicer too.

Or if you want to leave out the 5th use an open for the bass A?

You can just play that A chord as a standard A minor and it makes next to no difference in the sound, and it’s far easier to play.

    Minimal effort guys, you’re guitarists.

Thanks for the lesson. I really wanted to learn this song but with a variation & I feel your variation is as good as is out there. Seems like everyone is a critic but you don’t see them sharing their lesson plans. I don’t care what anyone else says, I’ve been playing guitar since the age of 13 and I’m 54 today & what’s clearer today than never before is that every person has their opinion. I say thank you for your time and for sharing a good lesson. Keep up the good work.
